Colombo, Sri Lanka is a long way from most places. But it made an unusually pleasant setting for more than 130 agricultural banking professionals who gathered there from August 19th through the 23rd, 2013 to discuss expanding lending to the agricultural sector. Someone will have to provide the financing for modernized, more efficient, and increasingly global agricultural industries.
