AgriFin worked with 10 regulated financial institutions in Africa and Asia to scale up their agricultural lending. The goal of AgriFin’s capacity building projects was to increase the level and quality of financing for agricultural clients while at the same time maintaining the sustainability of its partner financial institutions. Projects covered initial investment costs that financial institutions incurred to build up and strengthen their agriculture finance business lines. Project activities improved core banking systems, built in-house expertise on agricultural lending, developed new policies and products, and expanded delivery channels to access new clientele.
